According to the Law on Residence Tax as well as the Law on Payment of Residence Tax for Foreigners and Registration of Stay, both the host and the guest are obliged to fulfill this requirement. For your safety and realisation of your rights, we would kindly ask you to check that your host has registered you for the whole period of your stay, from the day of your arrival to departure. All people offering accommodation are required to register their guests, and to possess confirmation of the registration of stay for every guest in any commercial accommodation (hotels, aparthotels, tourist settlements, apartments, camps, guest houses, Bed and Breakfast, hostels, private accommodation, marinas etc.) and are obliged at the request of the guest to show this confirmation. Your check is extremely important and necessary especially if you are staying in private accommodation, because of the quality of the service and the prevention of illegal work by hosts who have not registered their accommodation according to the law.
